Experimenting with Paint

I have been trying my hand at painting again and enjoying it very much. I didn’t realize how much I missed oils until I broke them out again. I also discovered this wonderful stuff called cold wax medium. It allows for some really amazing textures.

Are these in the order that you painted them? It seems like it……it seems like I can see a progression of your increasing comfort with the medium.

The 3 “Botanicals” were done first and then I came back and reworked them. The first 5 were all done more or less simultaneously as oils dry slowly you have to put them into rotation so to speak. The white and black one was done last and I will probably have another go at it now that I see it in context.

Beautiful! I’m partial to the botanicals–I love leaves!
