Pip

Pip showed up one day at Santa’s  workshop about 50 years ago and well, never left. No one knows what he does but everybody seems to like him. He’s very quiet & never says much, actually no one  can remember him ever saying a word but he seems happy enough and always smells of cinnamon.

Nod

Nod works in Legal Affairs, he doesn’t see much action, in fact he’s kinda bored so he has time to braid his whiskers.

Sorry about the crummy scan. I did this one up in a pocket sketch book with a mechanical pencil in very low light (while waiting for my daughters ballet to start) so the drawing is too delicate for me cheapo scanner.

Grundy

Grundy is Santa’s Sleigh Master. He ensures the Christmas sleigh is in tip-top shape year after year. He’s old school, who needs GPS or cruise control when you have 8 magic reindeer.

Bosq

Meet Bosq, he works for Santa but he thinks Santa works for him. He handles “monetary” concerns. He is under the impression that gum drops, cookies and candy canes are legal tender. I bet he never tried to buy a house.

Que

This is Que, he is also one of Santa’s elves. He’s in charge of the tool crib but he thinks he’s the Quarter Master for the Entire Northern Division. Just humor him he’s harmless.

BoBo

This is BoBo he’s an elf in Santa’s workshop.  He’s in charge of putting coal in the naughty children’s stockings. He’s also the bouncer at the annual after Christmas party. Best to stay on his good side.

Begendings

Today is a sad day for me. I have to confront more personal failure. The “Economy” has finally caught up with me and I have to give up my studio of the last 5 years which I truly love and say goodbye to the guys I share it with whom I will always consider my brothers. I also will be giving up my home of the last 11 years and all that entails and on a budget of near zero. So big changes are in order over the next few weeks, but so are some good things too. I will be moving to another town to be with my youngest daughter and hopefully get a fresh start. So I’m trying to see this time not as a crash and burn but more of a re-boot. Next challenge: surviving Christmas -oye.

SkADaMo Day 30

Looks like we made it through the month. 30 days 27 posts and 32 sketches. Not bad for a first skadamo run -not a great finish but a respectable one. I wanted to say thanx to the other Skadamites for their encouragement and friendship I plan to keep tabs on you folks, it has been a good ride and I hope I can keep this momentum for a while. So speaking of which; I’m sticking with the “Dog Run” of the last few days I’ll leave you with this charming fellow.

SkADaMo Day 29

This is the black dog. keep clear of him if you can. He may look friendly and easy to handle but he will ruin your life if you let him in.

ScADaMo Day 28

Been crazy busy this week sorry I missed yesterday, It couldn’t be helped. I gotta get the payin’ gigs out the door first. But here’s a fresh one right off the still smokin’ pencil. I just started scratching at the sketch pad and wound up with a dog in space. Yeah I have no idea either but here you go free of charge and worth every penny you paid for it.
